Susan Kurtz is the founder of Resolution Place. Susan is passionate
about working with people who want to make the commitment to resolve
their legal issues in a conscious, non-violent manner. Susan Kurtz
has 20 years experience as a lawyer and she well knows the permanent
and heart-breaking emotional and financial damage a court case can
cause, so she focuses on how to help individuals avoid a court
battle. Susan Kurtz is an advanced civil mediator, an educator, a
radio talk show host, a writer and a team player. Susan Kurtz is
very active in her community, having served as President of the
Rotary Club of Nelson, Director of Community First Health Co-Op,
Co-Chair of Kootenay Co-op Radio Board, and Director of Nelson
StreetFest. Susan Kurtz is also very active in the professional
legal community, having served as Director for the Women Lawyers
Forum and the Judicial Appointment Committees of the Canadian Bar
Association, BC Branch, and as President of the Kootenay Bar
Association. Susan Kurtz is a dedicated Collaborative Practice
Lawyer and an active member of the
International Academy of
Collaborative Professionals. Susan is a founding member of the
Collaborative Law Group Nelson and she enjoys working on a team with
counsellors and financial planners to assist those on their way to a
peaceful legal resolution. Susan Kurtz believes that conflict and
its resolution provide opportunities for personal and spiritual
growth. Susan is a yoga teacher, a music student and a member of
both the British Columbia and the Alberta Bars.
